Oklahoma Comic Creator directory
The oklahoma comic creator Directory Project
The Oklahoma Comic Arts Foundation couldn’t have started without a little bit of happenstance. In 2009, Soonercon hosted a packed-in panel of comic creators, and the question of the day was “How did we not know that there were so many people in Oklahoma trying to make comics?”
And so, a loose social group of creators formed. They traveled together, booted together, critiqued each other’s projects, and kept asking questions about how to better support the vast talent pool. One of the ideas that kept coming up was a database of comic creators to make it easier for creators and fans to find their next favorite creators.
The directory is open to all working creators, both past and present. Our only requirement is that you've helped create a comic, whether published traditionally or self-published.
Examples of creators we are looking for are:
Colorists
Designers
Editors
Educators
Illustrators
Letterers
Mentors
Publishers
Printers
Writers
If you’d like to be added to the directory, fill out this submission form.
The decision to include applications into the directory lies solely with the Oklahoma Comic Arts Foundation Board.

Is your artwork on your website and portfolio safe for all ages?: Cartoon Violence
Brief Biography: I got into comics in the early 90's as a 12-year-old kid and grew up wanting to write for a living. Around age 13, I shifted from wanting to be a writer to wanting to be an artist. I pursued art through college, eventually meeting like-minded individuals with a local publisher, Equinox Comics, around 2008. Eager to create my own books, I teamed up with my brother around 2017 to begin self-publishing under the banner of Halloween Head Comics, where we mix our favorite genre (Horror) with our favorite medium (Comics). We've been doing it ever since. Over the past 16 years, I developed the skills I needed to create comics: writing, penciling, inking, coloring, lettering and a few things here and there that comes with self-publishing comics. I don’t know it all, but I know enough to get by. And what little I know, I’m more than happy to share. I do it all for the love of comics.
